In Canada, only non-profit organizations registered as charities can offer tax breaks for their donations.
The process of registering as a charity is long, however, and the Canada Revenue Agency (the federal agency in charge) has set a clear limit: charities are not allowed to criticize animal agriculture in Canada!
In order to preserve our freedom of expression, and to be able to defend animals as we should, we cannot offer you a tax deduction.
We hope that the Canada Revenue Agency will one day allow organizations like ours to question the treatment of animals in Quebec.
