In Canada, only Non-Profit Organizations registered as charities can offer tax receipts for their donations.

The process of registering as a charity is long, however, and the Canada Revenue Agency (the federal agency in charge) has set a clear limit that prevents promoting the reduction of the death we cause to animals: charities are not allowed to “promote the welfare of animals by preventing farm animals such as cows or pigs from being slaughtered and marketed for human consumption” in Canada!

In order to maintain our freedom of speech, and to be able to defend animals as they should be, we are therefore unable to offer you a tax deduction.

We hope that the Canada Revenue Agency will one day allow organizations like ours to question the treatment of animals in Quebec.
